Stay warm, stay informed

As temperatures drop, your heating system becomes the unsung hero of your home. But when things go wrong, comfort disappears fast. Here are five of the most common heating issues — and how Gosai Heating & Gas can help.

1. Cold radiators

Usually caused by trapped air or sludge buildup. Bleeding the radiators can help, but if the problem persists, you may need a power flush.

2. Low boiler pressure

Low pressure reduces heating performance. Check your gauge — it should read around 1–1.5 bar. If it keeps dropping, there may be a leak.

3. Noisy boiler or pipes

Whistling or banging could mean limescale buildup (kettling) or trapped air. These are early signs your boiler may need servicing.

4. Uneven heating

Some rooms hot, others cold? Your system may need balancing or thermostat adjustments.

5. Heating won’t turn on

Could be a faulty thermostat, power supply issue, or frozen condensate pipe — all best checked by a qualified engineer.

Don’t ignore the signs.
